Product Launch Video Strategy: What to Create Before, During and After Launch

Build a reusable launch content system instead of investing everything in a single hero video.

A product launch creates a short period of concentrated attention. The strongest launch video strategies plan a family of assets that support awareness, explanation, proof, conversion, and follow-up.

Before launch: build curiosity and clarity

Use teasers, countdown content, speaker clips, problem-focused stories, and short feature reveals. Internally, create briefing videos and sales enablement content so employees and partners can explain the product consistently.

During launch: control the main story

The hero film should communicate the problem, promise, key difference, and desired next action. Supporting screen content can include motion graphics, feature demonstrations, customer stories, data points, and transitions between speakers.

Design for the live environment

Check aspect ratios, screen dimensions, playback systems, audio levels, captions, and safe text areas. Create a tested fallback for live demonstrations and online content.

After launch: multiply the asset

Turn the hero film and event recording into shorter clips for product pages, social posts, sales presentations, email campaigns, onboarding, and frequently asked questions. Extract still images and quotations for additional campaign material.

Keep one message system

Every asset should reinforce the same positioning, visual identity, terminology, and proof points. Consistency helps audiences recognise and remember the offer.

Measure the content journey

Track where viewers came from, how much they watched, which calls to action they selected, and whether they moved to a demonstration, enquiry, download, or purchase. Use the findings to improve later campaign waves.

A launch film should not be an isolated production. It should be the centre of a flexible content system that continues working after the live moment ends.

Stand Out. Be Remembered. Win.
